Black and White...
I started off with Black and White years ago and used to develop
and print everything by hand, I still have all of those pictures
(most of them are on the wall at home) It's a lot easier now as
everything I do is digital.
Black and White is still my favourite though.

'Amsterdam pigeons' taken on a short break to the city in November '99. In one of the large
squares this little boy and his dad were having fun making the pigeons fly,
I positioned myself and took the pic... I asked the chap his e-mail address which he gave me after
seeing the picture (you can view them right away on a digital camera) when I got home I sent it to him.
Amsterdam, the knackered 2CV, the bike, the canal and the tourist boat just sum
up the place in one image.
Amsterdam again, I saw this homeless guy in the doorway of an expensive sushi restaurant,
I waited for the rest to happen.
Taken in Madiera February '00, I must admit I have a habit of taking pictures of 'street people'
Madiera is a beautiful place if you've never been, it was very warm even in February and was
especially good as there were loads of 'characters' about, this chap couldn't really play at all.
What he did do was a lot of tuning but seemed to making a fair amount of cash...
Madiera Feb. '00 again, This picture so nearly worked it was painful, I only had one chance as the old
chap seemed pretty grumpy and didn't know I was trying to take his picture, he was eating some chicken
from a take-away wrapper and the little dog (I don't know if it was his) was trying to get some, the dog's
head overlaps his boot though and this spoils the pic as the composition isn't perfect... close.
'Smiley Stones' One of my all-time favourite pictures, this was taken on the beach at Babacombe
near Torquay in September '99, a child had made the face and left (it wasn't me honest).
For me, this picture is all about the innocence of youth.. A thing which is simple, pure and beautiful.
These days it's gone all too soon, like the stones which will very soon be washed away.
'Pram and cat'.. taken in a friends back yard in 1984, The cat was called 'Fluff', it's favourite
place for a nap was this pram.... Another 'I don't know what this is saying' pic.. but a favourite.
'Leicester 1984' Just three old ladies.. There's a lot going on in this pic but the old ladies
shine through as the stars they are.. the one on the left has a moustache better than I could grow.
They're probably not around any more bless 'em...
MX-5 pics, this was my last car...
Whitby Abbey, I'll admit I've played around with this one a bit but the dramatic image produced is
probably worth the unreality, what do you think?
